Up for bid is a Vintage North Carolina Variety Vacationland 63-Page Tourist Booklet from the Early 1960's. This full-color booklet is chockful of information about North Carolina from "Free Bridges & Shunpikes" to "Skiing and Riding" to "Tobaccoland". There's even a welcome from the Governor, Terry Sanford. My favorite section is a list of salt water fish, their seasons and what bait to use to get them. Yum! The booklet is in fair to good used condition. Some of the pages in the front and back are loose (see photos). Some of the pages in the front are water-crinkled (see photo). There is a small stain on one page (not pictured). The rest of the pages are unmarked and the colors are still vibrant. What a fun piece of North Carolina history!
This would make a great gift for your cousin from Ashville or perhaps a high-school graduate who's headed to one of the great schools in North Carolina.
